Submissions are Open!

Our third issue theme is: Hibernation. Tell us what winter means to you. Is it sequestering in shelter until warmth returns? Is grief your seasonal companion? Is it celebratory, fragrant, familial? Is the snow an enemy, an old friend, or an ambivalent annual visitor?

What we're looking for:

micro/flash pieces

short fiction

poetry and prose

creative nonfiction

nature photography

 

No AI pieces will be accepted.

 

Each author may send up to five individual submissions, and photography will be considered separately unless clarified otherwise. Send written submissions in pdf or word document form to dirtfreckleslitmag@gmail.com, and please include an author bio. 

 

Additionally, we accept simultaneous submissions and previously published works!
